Playa Accommodations & Resorts introduced it has expanded its Jewel Resorts model with the addition of two new Jewel Resorts within the Dominican Republic.
Scheduled to open on December 21, Jewel Punta Cana would be the first-ever Jewel resort within the Dominican Republic. The 620-room, all-ages property is positioned 20 minutes from the Punta Cana Worldwide Airport on Uvero Alto Seaside.

To rejoice the opening, Jewel Punta Cana is providing a limited-time grand opening charge of $99 per individual, per night time.
“The addition of Jewel Punta Cana and Jewel Palm Seaside to Playa’s portfolio is a pure enlargement of the Jewel model given its success in Jamaica and its appeals to a mid-level luxurious clientele,” Playa Senior Vice President Dean Sullivan mentioned.
“These two resorts are a welcomed addition for visitors searching for an distinctive, but inexpensive, trip within the Dominican Republic,” Sullivan continued.
On January 7, 2023, the 500-room Jewel Palm Seaside will debut, which is positioned 35 minutes from Jewel Punta Cana and can face the Caribbean Sea. The property can be providing a particular grand opening charge of $105 per individual per night time, starting on December 26.
